Over the last 600 years, the University of St Andrews has established a reputation as one of the world’s leading research and teaching centres. Today, the university offers a flexible degree structure based on your choice of subject specialism or research, creating an environment which nurtures inquisitive minds and a culture of shared learning.
Programmes are available at undergraduate and postgraduate level; there are currently over 600 undergraduate degree programmes and over 100 Masters opportunities across 18 academic Schools. Each School offers supervised PhD and MPhil research with input from world-class academic staff.
You are encouraged to visit the University Admissions website and to select your country from the A–Z list. You can view the entrance requirements and further information on academic and English language entrance requirements, along with tuition fee guidance.
The entrance requirements published on these pages are based on the ‘likely grades’ which will be required for entry.
Many factors are taken into account when making offers, including the Personal Statement and Reference on your application. Applicants are not guaranteed admission on the basis of these grades alone. Actual offers may be higher or lower than the grades listed online.
There are plenty of opportunities to meet university staff, both in St Andrews and elsewhere. Whether you have questions about your application or student life, or you would like to meet a member of staff from the School you wish to study in, you can do so no matter where you live. You can potentially meet our staff in your country, at a visiting day in St Andrews or through an online or virtual session. Please get in touch if you have any questions – our staff are always happy to help!
Opportunities to meet our Director of Golf are also available should you be in St Andrews, David will take the time to carefully explain the golf programme to you and show you round our world class facilities. Please contact him directly on [email protected] to arrange.
