Arnold Palmer Scholarship

We are incredibly fortunate to be only the second university in the world to be able to bestow upon selected students an Arnold Palmer Scholarship. Mr Palmer’s relationship with St Andrews is legendary and was cemented in 2010 when he received his honorary doctorate from the University.

In our 600th anniversary year Mr Palmer generously gave his name to be able to help young student golfers flourish in the Home of Golf. The scholarship is awarded to those who best embody the spirit of the man, the game and the University. These scholarships have been introduced in order for Saints Golf to attract the very best student golfers from around the world and give them the greatest chance possible to achieve their golfing and academic dreams whilst in St Andrews.

  • “I decided to start supporting the University of St Andrews golf programs about five years ago. I thought I could help make a difference for these programs by financially helping you start a golf donor program. I'm very proud that you have used my funds to create a Saints Golf Website to help you get the word out.”
